Drawing up quality assurance criteria is one
thing, but the RAL Institute has gone a stage further and has taken
on the task of monitoring compliance with these standards and making
the results transparent for all concerned.
The RAL Quality Assurance Associations are responsible
for the practical implementation of the RAL Quality Assurance Specifications.
The associations are made up of companies which voluntarily undertake
to adhere to the RAL standards. Continuous self-monitoring procedures
form the basis of quality assurance within the RAL Quality Assurance
Association. In addition, external testing is conducted once a year
by independent testing organizations, institutes or officially recognized
auditors. The test procedures followed are standardized to ensure
that the results are consistent and can be compared.
This also guarantees that all candidates are treated
equally. As a result, the RAL Quality Mark Demanufacture of
Refrigerator Equipment Containing CFCs can only be displayed
by those fridge recycling companies who continuously fulfil all
the RAL quality criteria.
