The RAL Quality Marks have been a distinctive
and active part of consumer protection for over 75 years. Because
the RAL standards are constantly monitored by independent bodies,
they ensure that the interests of the consumer, and hence those of
the general public, are taken seriously and that these interests are
realized. From the ‘Pure New Wool’ label to the ‘German
Wine Seal’, RAL Quality Marks form part of an extensive quality
assurance system. The RAL Quality Marks help consumers to find their
way through today’s maze of labels. Far more than just another
product tag, a RAL Quality Mark provides consumers with a real guarantee
of the quality they are entitled to expect.
Those who are familiar with the RAL Quality Marks know that they can be trusted – something that RAL, as an independent institute for quality assurance and labelling, guarantees. The fact that the RAL Institute is the only body in Germany entitled to approve quality assurance associations and quality marks means that quality is guaranteed and gives the consumer the confidence that comes with reliable and independent information.
